Cookie Policy
This page lists the cookies and local storage Zapinner uses, what each is for, and how to change your choices at any time. It is derived from the technologies actually running on this site.
Effective September 7, 2026
What these technologies are
Cookies and browser local storage let a site remember small pieces of information between page loads. Zapinner groups them into two categories: strictly essential technologies that the product cannot run without, and optional analytics that you control. Zapinner does not use advertising, retargeting, or marketing tracking of any kind.
Essential (always on)
These are required for the site and API dashboard to work, so they are always active and are not subject to consent:
- Authentication and sessions. Set by our authentication layer (Better Auth) to keep you signed in and protect your account. Turning these off would log you out and break the dashboard.
- Security. Used to protect requests against cross-site request forgery and abuse.
- Billing. Set by Stripe during checkout to process subscriptions securely. Zapinner does not store full card numbers.
- Consent preference. A single local storage entry (
zapinner.cookie-consent) that remembers your cookie choice, when you made it, and the policy version. It contains no account, session, or personal information.
Analytics (optional)
These load only after you allow analytics, and stop when you withdraw that choice:
- Vercel Web Analytics. Aggregate, privacy-friendly measurement of page views and site usage, provided by Vercel. It is designed to be cookieless and does not build cross-site advertising profiles. We use it only to understand which pages and docs are useful.
Marketing
Zapinner currently uses no marketing, advertising, retargeting, or session-replay technologies, so there is no marketing category to manage. If that ever changes, this page and the consent controls will be updated first.
Third-party providers
The technologies above are provided by the services that run Zapinner:
- Vercel — hosting and Web Analytics (privacy policy).
- Stripe — billing and payments (privacy policy).
Changing your preferences
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the site footer, or right here:
Where technically possible, changes take effect immediately — enabling analytics loads it on the spot, and disabling it stops further tracking. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though doing so may affect essential functionality like staying signed in.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Zapinner keeps optional analytics off by default and will not enable any marketing technology (there is none). You can still explicitly opt in to analytics from the preferences dialog if you choose to.
Retention
Your consent preference persists in local storage until you change it, clear it, or we publish a new policy version (which re-prompts you). Analytics retention is managed by Vercel under their own policies. For details on how long other data is kept, see our Privacy Policy.
